A Sudden Trip to Cebu

Like the title said, this is a trip to Cebu without any plan. It’s been only 3 weeks after our trip to Coron Palawan when we are invited to go to Cebu.

NAIAFirst Day

On our first day we arrive at Cebu at around noon and went to our hotel which is Marco Polo hotel.

We spend like an hour or two to rest then went directly to a Ayala Mall.

Second Day

We started our second day by having breakfast then went to the swimming pool of Marco Polo Hotel. It’s nice to swim here as the water is clean and maintained. There are pools for kids too.

After we swim, we went out to find and eat their famous “Cebu Lechon Belly”. The taste of Cebu Lechon Belly in Cebu is really tasty and delicious, it’s just that everyone should not horde this food and you might get a nasty high blood pressure.

3rd Day.

Oslob Cebu

On our 3rd day we plan to visit Oslob Cebu. We want to see and encounter the famous Whale Shark. We rented a van for us to go there. After reaching Oslob, we joined the orientation first then wait for our turn to see the whale shark. Every group has a 30 minutes time limit to have an encounter with the Whale Shark.

Oslob Cebu

Encountering Whale Shark in the wild is a great experience but taming and feeding them is not a good idea. People in Oslob will keep feeding Whale sharks so that this creatures will stay in Oslob but the negative part of  this is that this will let the Whale Shark dependent to humans and in time they might no to try to eat by themselves, but to rely humans on feeding them. It seems like it will be much better if you will see them in the wild without any humans feeding them.

After Oslob we went to Samboan to visit Aguinid falls. Aguinid falls is place where you can visit multiple water falls that you need to trek each level to reach different falls of Aguinid.

Aguinid has a different levels of waterfalls but we the 2soulsfootprints reach level 2 only. Level 2 of Aguinid requires you to climb within the falls which is almost a hundred feet. Locals even create a modification on the falls by making a makeshift handholds and footholds. Still this is very dangerous as the water from the falls is also falling to you while your climbing and one slip would be dangerous. We did bring our child and we are scared and wondering how we can passed it, then a tradegy happens. Some tourist or traveler is going down the Level 2 falls of Aguinid when he slipped, a local tour guide try to stop him from falling but failed. They even hit a woman below before 3 of them plunge in the shallow water. Luckily no one suffers from great injury and they only suffer bruises and minor wound.

We the twosoulsfootprints and our child did go back and the rest our group still continue with the trek even after watching the accident.

Cebu

Cebu is really a great place to travel. There are still a lot of places that people can visit in Cebu. We are planning to go back here to experience more in Cebu!
